EXCHANGE PROGRAMME FOR ONE SEMESTER IN ENGLISH PROGRAMME OUTLINE
RFTA AT A GLANCE The Russian Foreign Trade Academy of the Ministry of Economic Development of the
Russian Federation (RFTA) is a state educational establishment of higher professional education
founded in 1931. For more than 90 years we have been preparing professionals for foreign economic
activity. The Academy provides students with a quality education, which enables them to take key
positions in both domestic and international businesses. World economy, foreign trade, international
public and private law, logistics in foreign trade, customs law – knowledge of these disciplines is
essential for employment in international companies. Students are taught author's courses developed
by our professors-practitioners experienced in international and foreign trade activity. The
programme includes the in-depth study of two foreign languages. The Academy has a contemporary
campus, including a universal sports complex, a modern library and a dormitory located in close
proximity to our main campus. All these enable students to participate actively in the academic, social,
sporting and creative activities that the Academy can offer. Graduates receive a wide range of
employment opportunities in various organizations dealing in international trade, which is a good
step towards a successful career.

The Academy building is located in a quiet place, which is a 15-minute drive from the Kremlin.
The Academy has four buildings: main campus, library, dormitory and sport center. In the library
there are two coworking zones where the students are able to prepare their educational projects. RFTA
Sports and Fitness Center provides advanced equipment and offers great sports facilities such as a
universal gym, a hall with trainers and cardio-vascular machines, special halls for aerobics and martial
arts and a swimming pool.
VISA SUPPORT
The letter of invitation from the RFTA will be prepared after the submission of all necessary
documents to the RFTA. Application deadline: 15.06.2024

| DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION |
Foreign nationals should submit to the Academy during application procedure the following documents:
- Application form (ATTACHED)
- Identity document, certifying nationality of the applicant
- Documents confirming education level: transcripts from secondary school (high school) for bachelor applicants or university transcript for master’s applicants (for the previous semester, in Engish). Documents should include grades and courses taken
- Standard medical certificate, certifying absence of medical contra-indications for study in the Russian Federation
- Nomination letter from home university

- Standard certificate of the HIV-negative status of the applicant
- Health insurance policy valid on the territory of the Russian Federation

| LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS | RFTA provides studies in Russian or English languages. |
| ORIENTATION | Incoming exchange students may participate in the orientation events that take place at the beginning of each semester. The orientation events introduce international students to the various services and systems in operation at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy. They will get all the academic and practical information they need for their studies: confirmation of course choices, class schedule, student card, campus tour, Residence Permit information, presentation of student associations, icebreaker. |
| VISA INFORMATION | The RFTA provides visa support to those wishing to come to Russia for signing a contract and solving other issues related to admission to the RFTA. All those arriving by the beginning of the academic year should have stamp “for studies at the RFTA” in their entry visa for further registration procedure |
| LIVING EXPENSES IN MOSCOW | Сost of renting an apartment – begins from 30 000 Rub* per month
Cost of one meal at the canteen – approximately 250 Rub* per lunch
Cost of public transport monthly ticket (unlimited trips) – 3 000 Rub* per month
Cost of medical insurance – 5 000 Rub* for five months, 7 000 Rub* for one year
Cost of migration registration – 5 000 Rub*
Medical check-up – 6 000 Rub*
The cost of visa extension − 1 600 Rub*
Fingerprint examination – 1000 Rub*
