FEDERAL STATE BUDGETARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION "RUSSIAN FOREIGN TRADE ACADEMY OF THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION"

Founded in 1931. The Academy is the only university subordinate to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The Academy has a branch in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
For over 90 years, the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has been training professionals for foreign economic activities. Graduates of the Academy become specialists in the field of international trade, international finance, and international economic law.
The Academy has a modern campus, consisting of academic buildings, dormitories, a sports and recreation complex with a pool, gymnasiums, and game rooms, a library with a reading room and self-study areas.
In 2015, according to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the Academy was classified as one of the leading universities authorized to independently develop and approve educational standards at all levels of higher education.
Since 2016, the main programs of the Academy have been implemented based on their own educational standards in the following fields of study: economics, management, jurisprudence (bachelor's, master's, postgraduate), public administration (bachelor's), information systems and technologies (bachelor's), customs affairs (specialist degree), qualification enhancement programs, and professional retraining programs.

The Academy's structure includes:

• five faculties: the Faculty of International Economists (FIE), the Faculty of International Finance (FIF), the Faculty of Foreign Trade Management (FFTM), the Faculty of International Law (FIL), and the Faculty of International Business (FIB);
• six research units: the Institute of International Economics and Finance, the Institute for Development of Integration Processes, the Council for the Study of Productive Forces, the Center for Trade Policy Studies, the Center for Strategic Development of the Republic of Armenia, and the Data Analysis Center;
• advanced courses in foreign languages.

At the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, students study: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Turkish, Hindi, Persian, and Arabic languages. The curriculum for bachelor's programs at the Academy includes mandatory study of two foreign languages, with students starting their second language from the second year.
Thanks to extensive international contacts, students have the opportunity to study under dual degree programs, academic exchanges, or internships at universities in different countries.
The RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is a member of the Russian-Chinese Association of Economic Universities (since 2021) and is a member of the Eurasian Network University (since 2024).
The Academy organizes the international student competition in international commercial arbitration named after M.G. Rosenberg and the educational negotiation marathon "The Art of Negotiation".
The Academy operates two national projects: "Demography" and "Labor Productivity".
The Academy assists students in finding internships as part of the educational process, as well as in subsequent employment. Graduates of the Academy, having received quality education in the field of foreign economic activity, work in federal executive bodies, federal services, state corporations, trade representations, as well as in large private Russian and foreign companies, holding managerial positions.
According to the results of the eleventh annual RAEX ranking "100 Best Universities in Russia", the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia took 34th place out of 100 evaluated Russian universities.
By the level of salaries of young specialists in the "Superjob for Students" ranking, the RFTA holds the sixth place in the "Economics and Finance" sphere and the sixth place in the legal sphere.
In the ranking "Best Faculties and Universities of Moscow 2022-2023 according to hh.ru", the Faculty of International Law of the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia took the eighth place in the list of universities preparing the most successful lawyers, while the Faculty of International Economists is ranked twelfth.
In the Moscow international university ranking "Three Missions of a University", the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is ranked 37-41 among Russian universities and is included in the interval group 901-1000 in the global list.
In the popular business school ranking mba.su - 2023, the Faculty of International Business of the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia took the seventh place.
The Academy has entered the first league of the National Aggregated Ranking 2024 - a ranking of the best universities in Russia, which combines the results of 12 national university rankings.
