The RFTA is once again among the leaders in the regular quality monitoring of the enrollment at state funded places of the Russian universities.
According to 2015-monitoring made by ‘RIA Novosti’ together with NRU "Higher School of Economics" and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation under "Social Navigator" project, the Russian Foreign Trade Academy is one of three leading universities of the country in such areas of training as "Economics" and "Management" and is in the top five in "Law".
It is not the first time when Russian Universities are ranked in terms of average score at Russian National Exam (RNE). This year 442 universities participated in monitoring, all of them provided data about RNE passing score on their official websites, from which the information was collected.
The authors calculated average score of those enrolled under the results of RNE at university as a whole (excluding winners of Olympiads), as well as mean and minimum grades in all areas of training. The monitoring also contains information on the structure of enrolment to state funded places: the number of applicants enrolled without exams, enrolled out of competition, enrolled on a competitive basis and enrolled under special quotas.
Summing up the results of monitoring of the quality of 2015 enrollment at the state funded places in Russian universities, Dmitry Livanov the Minister of Education and Science said: "We observe increasing competition for state-funded places: average showing in Russia is 9 people per place." According to him, traditionally high competition is for places at specialties related to foreign languages, international relations, economics and medicine.
This year average RNE score of those admitted at state funded places makes 65,2 points and is by 0,8 points higher than in the previous year. The highest result - 74,2 points is demonstrated in Moscow and in St. Petersburg.
According to quality monitoring of 2015 enrollment at state funded places in Russian universities, the RFTA with 89.2 average RNE score takes the 3rd place (following the Higher School of Economics and MGIMO University) among 147 universities of Russia, admitting students at state funded places in the field of Economics.
Among 190 universities in the country offering in 2015 state funded places in the field of Management, the RFTA with 87.2 average RNE score takes the 3rd place after the Higher School of Economics and St. Petersburg State University.
As for legal education, the RFTA with 92.7 average RNE score takes the 5th place (following MGIMO University, RANEPA, Samara State University and St. Petersburg State University) among 126 universities in the country, which in 2015 announced enrollment at state funded places in the field of Law.
Overall positive result of the RFTA 2015 admission campaign is the increase in the average RNE score in all areas of training as compared with the previous year.
