Sixth Annual Ranking «Top -100 universities of Russia» -2017 (by RAEX ).

«Expert RA» rating agency (RAEX) compiled the 6th annual list of Top-100 Russian universities and presented the results of the research at the 5th International Forum of Universities "Global Marketability" held on June 7, 2017 in Moscow. The RFTA has strengthened its positions and took the 29th place among 100 Russian universities under evaluation, having risen by one point as against the previous year.
Also, according to the results of the ranking the RFTA is included in Top-20 universities in the category "Best universities in terms of conditions for obtaining a quality education". The universities were ranked with consideration of the following indicators: "level of teaching", "international integration", "resources", " demand among applicants ".
In 2017, for the first time ever, the universities, focusing on the training of economists and managers demonstrated synchronous growth in the Top-100 list : RANEPA moved from 12th to 11th place, the Financial University improved its 14th place for the 13th, Plekhanov RUE moved from the 25th to the 23rd position and the RFTA moved from the 30th to the 29th line.
RAEX ranking is based on the analysis of statistical indicators and surveys of target groups: students and graduates, representatives of academic and scientific communities, representatives of employers. In 2017 surveys covered more than 30 thousand respondents. The sources of statistical information are university questionnaires, scientific metrics and data from open sources.
Reference: in 2017 and 2016 144 universities participated in the survey, in 2015 - 133 universities, in 2014 - 125 universities, in 2013 - 118 universities. The survey data were not provided by SPbSU, therefore when calculating the university positions in the ranking , the data published on the official website of the university, the results of the reference group surveys and the data of the scientific metrics were used.
Determination of the rating functional is based on the analysis of the following integral factors: the conditions for obtaining a quality education, the demand for graduates of the university by employers, the level of research activities.
