The Russian Foreign Trade Academy of the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation was founded in 1931 and the entrance of the first foreign students was over 50 years ago. Over the years the Academy has trained, and currently has representatives from, the countries of the CIS (Republic of Abkhazia, Republic of South Ossetia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Moldova, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) and also from abroad (Serbia, Slovenia, Latvia, Turkey, Laos, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cuba, Bulgaria, Estonia). The Academy provides students with a valuable education, which allows them to take key positions in both domestic and international business. Today the Academy boasts eleven departments covering the Humanities, Mathematics, General Professional and Special Disciplines, as well as five departments of Foreign Languages. Training is offered in the following areas: Economics, Law and Management and the programme includes the in-depth study of two foreign languages. The Academy has a contemporary campus, including a universal sports complex, library and a dormitory, allowing students to participate actively in the academic, social, sporting and creative activities that the Academy has to offer. Graduates receive a wide range of employment opportunities in various organizations engaged in international trade, which is a good step towards a successful career.
