On April 29, 2016 International Law Department (ILD) of the RFTA held a student conference on Modern trends in Law development under geopolitical tension.The conference was attended by undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students of the International Law Department and by invited guests. The Dean of the Department expressed gratitude to V. Shumilov, I. Lifshitz, A. Ryzhin, T. Potapenkova, D. Boklan, L. Zabelova for organization of scientific discussion on the topics of the presentations. Within the framework of the Conference contest of presentations was held. The results of the contest are as follows: Marina Koleskina, 2nd year ILD student (scientific advisor: D. Boklan). Presentation topic: Information War: problems and ways of international legal data protection against cyber attacks - 1st place Alexandra Boychenko, 2nd year postgraduate training with the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law Studies, graduate student of Vienna University (scientific advisor: I.Lifshitz). Presentation topic: The concept of "dirty hands" in international arbitration judgement on former YUKOS shareholders’ cases against Russia – 2nd place David Kitsmarishvili, 2nd year postgraduate training (scientific advisor: I.Lifshitz). Presentation topic: The principles of sovereign debt restructuring within the Paris Club of creditors - 2nd place Maria Pekarskaya, 2nd year postgraduate training, (scientific advisor: V. Shumilov). Presentation topic: On transition of the Russian Federation to the automatic exchange of tax information according to the rules of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development – 3rd place Ada Pakeliya, 1st year ILD graduate student, (scientific advisor: O. Mescheryakov). Presentation topic: International legal regulation of the Russian-Abkhazian relations in the modern context - People's Choice Award |
