Moscow Sokolniki park held the 5th GTO race "Path of Unity". The RFTA team took part in the competition and demonstrated good performance, will-to-win spirit and optimism.

4th International Festival of Student and Youth Sports "Moscow Games" 2017, conducted by the Association for Student and Youth Sports was held in Moscow from September 18 to 22. RFTA athletes participated in the opening of the festival, in the sport race and successfully represented the Academy in such sports as: football, table tennis (male / female), cheerleading.

Traditional Spring DORM OLYMPICS – 2017 was over on April 27, 2017! The participants competed in : swimming, darts, athleticism, cross country running and table tennis. Our congratulations to the winners and to all participants!

On 14 March, 2017 RANEPA hosted unofficial swimming competition between RFTA, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, D.Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and RANEPA. Prize winners from the RFTA are: Daria Fartushina (International Economists’- 3), Nikita Skuratovich (International Law -2), Nikolay Kamel (International Finance – 1).

On March 18 2017, a football match between RFTA and the Moscow Diplomatic Academy was held in Luzhniki. RFTA team won 3: 2. The team was represented by: Yuri Terekhov (captain), Maxim Mette (International Law - 3), Konstantin Averin, Kirill Gorbachev, Valery Pletnev, Hakob Hazizbekyan, Vladimir Dubrovin ( International Economists’ - 2), Narek Agumyan (International Law - 1), Timur Shabanov (International Law 4), Victor Zhuravlyov (International Law - master's program). Goals scored: Hakob Hazizbekian, Viktor Zhuravlev, Timur Shabanov.

On March 18, 2017 in the framework of "The Spring" festival the annual GTO Race "The Way Home" was held on Sparrow Hills. The RFTA team actively participated in the race.

On November 30, 2016 the swimming pool of the RFTA Health Center hosted swimming competition as a part of the RFTA 2016 Autumn Championship, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Academy. The fans with banners packed the stands to capacity. Of special note is that unprecedented number of athletes demonstrated the highest level of training!

On November 9, 2016 RFTA sports complex hosted Interuniversity swimming competition between the swimmers of three universities: RANEPA, Plekhanov RUE, Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology. All athletes demonstrated excellent results in individual heats and team spirit in the relay.

November 11, 2016. On November 11,2016 ‘Mosvolonter’ held a 1.5-hour lecture for the RFTA students. Coaches Tatiana and Maxim demonstrated the students a presentation on volunteering and discussed with them the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The students learned about "Volunteer School" and how one can become a World Cup 2018 volunteer. At the end of the lecture the most active students received corporate gifts!

From 9 to 13 September 2016 our football players participated in Silk Road Cup - an international football tournament of the students of higher educational institutions, which took place in China (city of Hohhot).

On March 12, 2016, our students participated in sports and patriotic all-Russian competition ‘‘The Way Home’ Race’ devoted to the reunification of the Crimea with Russia. The race is held within the framework of ‘ Ready for Labor and Defense’ (GTO) Movement.

On November 30, 2015 final football competition of the Academy was held!! 'FEM-1' was fighting a battle with ‘RFTA Hope’. All the participants were playing in all their strength. It was a strenuous battle, emotions ran high not only on the field but also among the fans. The final score was 5:2 in favor of ‘RFTA Hope’. We congratulate the participants of both teams and wish them good luck in the following games! Our special thanks to support groups of both teams. On November 28, 2015 sport complex of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University hosted swimming competition within Moscow Youth Games. RFTA team demonstrated a good result. Daria Fartushina (International Economists’ Department) became a champion of the games in 50 m freestyle. In the mixed freestyle relay 4 × 50 m RFTA team is ranked third. Congratulations to RFTA swimming team on a praiseworthy performance at the Youth Games with wishes of further victories and success!

The team of students of the RFTA Higher Business School took the third place! Such strong contenders as teams of RANEPA, MIRBIS, REA named after Plekhanov, etc. fell behind. The second place went to the team of HSE, and the leader of the ranking of the strongest teams of the championship was the team of MSU Higher School of Business.
