RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan. During the period of October 22 - 28, representatives of the RFTA visited Tashkent and Samarkand.

On October 22-23, the delegation of the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, headed by S.G. Sinelnikov-Murylev, the Rector, took part in the 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, which was held in Tashkent. The working groups discussed continuation of training in theprograms of the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, organized for civil servants of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In Tashkent, the delegation of the representatives of the RFTA of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and of the RANEPA held a number of meetings with the representatives of universities. A visit and negotiations were held with Inom U. Madjidov,the Rector,and with the employees of Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan. The parties expressed interest in cooperation in the areas of "international law" and "international economics", in exchange of information on events and discussedthe possibility of signing a cooperation agreement.

Thedelegation paid a visit to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and had a meeting with Adkham Sh. Bekmurodov,the Rector, and the staff of the Academy. The parties agreed to analyze the possibility of organizing internships and joint events.

Also, the delegation visited the campus of Inha University and held talks with the Rector of the University Muzaffar M. Dzhalalov.

During the meeting with Konstantin Zlygostev,the Trade Representative of Russia in Uzbekistan, an agreement was reached on the possibility for students of the Academy to have an internship at the Trade Representation.

At the working meeting held in the Russian House in Tashkent with Mikhail Vazhdaev, the head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan, they discussed prospects for cooperation with Uzbek colleagues, including an increase in international events and implementation of joint projects.

On October 26-27, the delegation of the Academy took part in the 3^rdRussian-Uzbek educational forum, which was held at Samarkand State University and was organized by the Council of Rectors of Russia. The forum participants exchanged views on possible and promising forms of cooperation and outlined further plans for the development of joint educational projects.
