On September 1, 2021, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation had a meeting with the 4th year students of the Academy.
During the meeting, the Minister gave a lecture and spoke about climate preservation, the main track on the agenda of the Ministry, to make students understand the realities in which they will have to work in the coming years. According to the Minister, "this is a global challenge that has ramped up the transition of countries to low-carbon development."
“For all the time we will have been working on the low-carbon development strategy, each of us will be a participant in the process – no matter whether he is in the position of an employee of a ministry or a manager in a large company. The task of preserving the climate is not only about attracting investments and introducing technologies. It is about responsible attitude to the world around us, a desire to change it for the better ”- said Maxim Reshetnikov.
The Minister promised to hold an additional meeting for the students of the Academy, where he would tell in more detail about the "green" track of the ministry.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to the Minister's answers to the questions of the students of the Academy. The participants discussed the implementation of artificial intelligence and digital currency, touched upon the issue of brain drain, export and import of educational programs and measures to stop the rise in housing prices. Of particular interest to the students of the Academy, studying "International cooperation with China", were the issues related to interaction with this country, so, the project "One Belt, One Road" was not ignored.
At the end of the meeting, Maxim Reshetnikov personally congratulated the holders of the scholarship of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation - they were Elizaveta Abramova, Nadia Gitinova and Olga Dobrogost, the students of the International Law Faculty. The purpose of the scholarship is to support young talents and form a personnel reserve for the Ministry. Future specialists will also have the opportunity to have an internship within the walls of the government agency.
