This marks one of the first practical steps within the framework of the cross‑year initiative of Russian‑Chinese educational cooperation, the official launch of which took place on 20 May during the state visit of the President of Russia to China

The Memorandum formalises the parties’ intentions to launch academic exchange programmes and implement joint educational projects. The signing was preceded by substantive negotiations held on the sidelines of the China‑Russia Education Forum, which took place in Moscow on 16 May 2026.
The Academy places great importance on cooperation with Chinese partners and is a member of the Association of Sino-Russian Economic Universities. Within this framework, it regularly organises joint online and offline projects and conducts exchange programmes with its Chinese counterparts. Every year, more than 50 students from the Academy travel to China to participate in both short‑term and long‑term programmes.
