On 16 September, the Russian Foreign Trade Academy (RFTA) hosted a country‑specific seminar entitled “The Current State and Prospects for Deepening Trade and Economic Partnership between Russia and the Mainland ASEAN Countries (Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia).”
Presentations were delivered by representatives of leading research institutions.
Yulia Kravchenko (Institute of International Economics and Finance, RFTA) provided an overview of the economies and foreign economic relations of Malaysia and Thailand.
Egor Besedin (IMEMO RAS) spoke about the current state of Russian‑Malaysian economic relations.
Maria Sarycheva (Institute of China and Contemporary Asia, RAS) addressed Cambodia’s position in the 21st century and the prospects for cooperation with Russia.
Sayana Zueva (Institute of Asian and African Studies, Lomonosov Moscow State University) presented on the 125th anniversary of friendship between Thailand and Russia.
