Within the framework of the Eurasian Network University, the “Negotiation School” and International Department of the Russian Foreign Trade Academe of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia held an online educational marathon “The Art of Negotiating” in which 2 teams from the Academy, 2 teams from the Belarusian State Economic University, and one team each from the Belarusian State University and the Voronezh State Agrarian University took part.
On October 27, 2025, Svetlana Balakireva, head of the “RFTA Negotiation School”, conducted a workshop for the teams on negotiating, argumentation and setting a negotiating position.
On November 6, 2025, a negotiation position simulation took place. Teams from the RFTA and partner-universities worked on cases based on real business situations related to foreign trade activities between Russian, Belarusian, and Iranian companies. The games were moderated by Svetlana Balakireva, Head of the “RFTA Negotiation School” and Anna Cherkasova, Head of the English Department, International Economics and International Finance. The students received feedback and professional recommendations on improving their negotiation skills from expert practitioners in the person of Irina Shkolyar, RFTA Director for International Cooperation; Anna Molonova, General Director of “AM GLOBAL”; Elena Sibrinina, Head of the Product Testing Laboratory “PG “Metran”; Aldan Margoev, Research Fellow, Lecturer, MGIMO University.
The RFTA plans to hold online marathons among the universities of the Eurasian Network University on a regular basis.
