Representatives of the Embassy of Mexico in the Russian Federation visited the Russian Foreign Trade Academy (RFTA): Alberto Eduardo Ascani Juárez, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Vladislav Naryshkin, Assistant of the Department.
RFTA staff acquainted the guests with the Academy’s educational programmes, areas of activity, and infrastructure.
Ilsiya Gibadullina, Head of the RFTA International Department, noted that the Academy and Mexico have enjoyed long standing partnership relations in the fields of education and culture.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of cooperation with Mexican universities, the expansion of academic ties, student and teacher mobility programmes, as well as new joint initiatives.
Special attention was paid to organising lectures by representatives of the Embassy for RFTA students, as well as to the participation of the Embassy’s staff as experts at the Academy’s international conference.
The Embassy representatives expressed their readiness to support the development of new projects and to act as a liaison on matters related to quotas, scholarships, and the education of Mexican students in Russia.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and prepare new joint events, including a visit by the Ambassador of Mexico to the RFTA in the autumn term of the 2027–2028 academic year.
