On 3 September, the International Department of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy (RFTA) organised a memorial event for the Academy’s international students, dedicated to the 19th anniversary of the tragic events at School No. 1 in Beslan.
The students were shown documentary materials and photographs capturing the chronology of those terrible days. This was followed by a discussion during which the participants were informed about the events of 1–3 September 2004, with an emphasis on the importance of the global fight against terrorism.
The event concluded with a visit to the memorial to the victims of the tragedy. Students from Azerbaijan, Angola, the Congo, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan took part in the flower‑laying ceremony.
