The purpose of writing a resume is to clearly, consistently, competently and succinctly convey important information about the applicant, i.e. about you, to the HR officer. And in such a way that he wants to meet with you personally. There is no universal resume. You should consider what kind of experience and qualities will be appreciated in a particular position and adjust your resume for it.

Remember that not all areas welcome a creative approach to writing a resume, and do not forget to fulfill all the formal requirements.:
• A resume should be an accurate and concise description of your abilities and achievements;
• the resume should be written without grammatical and stylistic errors;
• if you apply to a foreign company, then, along with a resume in Russian, send the option in the language that is the main one for this company.
• The resume should be well designed. Try to put all the information on one page. Place the information so that the sections are clearly separated from each other, but do not create tables;
• it is better not to use wide frames and unusual fonts, do not make your resume colorful and bright - such creativity is appropriate only for creative professionals;
• Print your resume on good paper and a good printer.

Main sections of the resume:

Header. It indicates the applicant's last name, first name and patronymic (preferably in a larger font than the rest of the text) in the center of the page. The words "resume" and "questionnaire" should not be written.
A photo is not required in the resume, but if there is one, it is placed in the upper right corner. You should carefully choose a photo (clothes, background, lighting...) - a photo suitable for social networks is usually inappropriate in a resume.

Contact and personal information. The age, nationality, marital status, place of residence are indicated (not necessarily the full address, you can specify the city and district or the nearest metro station), phone and e-mail.

Target. IMPORTANT! If you are preparing a resume to find a place to practice, do not specify the desired position and salary, because now your task is only to find a place to practice for a short period of time. Write "Goal: internship from .... to..... (dates)". For the final course: here you can also specify the topic of the final qualifying work, so that it will be easier for the employer to figure out which department you should be sent to.
To find a permanent job, the desired salary amount is usually not indicated in the resume sent directly to the employer. But if you are applying to a recruitment agency, it is better to specify the salary "fork" so that its employees know which vacancies it makes sense to offer you.
If you are responding to a specific offer from a company, then specify the name of the specific position. In other cases, you can specify either the field of activity or, if you are familiar with the company's structure, positions in a specific structural unit.

Education (basic and additional). Information about education is usually presented in chronological order or according to the principle of significance. Specify not only the university, lyceum, college, but also various courses and trainings that are directly related to your future work. You can specify a school or gymnasium with advanced study of a foreign language.
Please note that not all employers may know the abbreviation "VAVT". The correct name of our educational institution is the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
If there is little information in the resume, in this section you can specify the topics of the most significant term papers (or WRC), the name of the departments in which they were defended, but only if it is relevant to the future field of activity.

Foreign language proficiency. Specify the foreign languages and the level of proficiency of each (beginner / advanced/ fluent / business vocabulary). You can also list the available foreign language certificates here.

Work experience. Information about work experience is presented in reverse chronological order (starting from the last job). Here you need to specify the period of employment (month, year), company name, city, position, main responsibilities, results and achievements. Try to write about your achievements using extremely clear and concise language. Pay special attention to the positive work results. Do not specify work experience that has nothing to do with the intended job or field of activity.
Avoid excessive descriptions of previous job responsibilities.
If you do not have any work experience, you can specify in this section: internships and internships, tutoring, volunteer actions, work at a university (admissions committee, exhibition events), work in the framework of scientific projects, etc.

Additional information. Specify the computer proficiency level (beginner, user, confident user, professional user, programmer). Specify the programs that you own (system, application, office, professional, financial, accounting, legal, educational, reference). If you have a driver's license, please indicate it.
In addition, you can indicate awards and diplomas received during your studies, participation in student work competitions, social activities, scientific achievements, publications, etc.

Personal characteristics. Please indicate your positive personal qualities. Try to choose those that may be important when working in this field or in this position. For people without work experience, it is important to note their willingness to learn.
Do not provide contradictory information - for example, a job seeker with no work experience notes his ability to work in a team.

Interests, hobbies. In addition to your professional interests, please indicate what characterizes you as a completely harmonious person who lives not only by studying or working. Avoid unnecessary/ridiculous information such as "I grow cacti, breed hamsters," etc.

Recommendations. If there are formal recommendations (they may be from previous employers, from an educational institution...) specify full name, organization, position, and contact information. Be sure to get the consent of the people you are referring to. At the end, write: "Recommendations can be submitted upon request."

What could influence the employer's decision against you:
- resume volume is too small or too large;
- lack of key information about you as a specialist;
- overly colorful summary with a minimum of meaningful information;
- grammatical errors, typos.
