INTERNATIONAL LAW DEPARTMENT (ILD)

Organized in 1998 International Law Department offers Bachelor Degree Program combined with in-depth foreign language training for secondary school leavers interested in legal studies.

The curriculum provides for study of wide range of general and special disciplines forming solid and integral knowledge about the legal rules regulating society under market conditions. Students study core disciplines of legal and economic block and learn how to organize legal support of business operations related to foreign economic activity as well as specific areas of foreign economic activity.

Study of two foreign languages is an integral part of Bachelor’s Program at International Law Department. Five Foreign Language departments of the Academy provide training in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic and Chinese languages.

Students are given an opportunity to study the third foreign language (optional) on a commercial basis and to take State Examination in it.

Graduates of International Law Department are in demand and are employed by federal agencies, Russian and Foreign commercial structures, well-known legal firms.

International Law Department offers Master Degree Program for those having Bachelor Degree or Specialist Diploma.

Master’s Program at International Law Department allows students to deeper understand legal problems of the present–day business, acquire skills in consulting, research, teaching, as well as in managerial and analytical activity, arms with the knowledge of international standards of jurisprudence

Master Degree Program in Law at International Law Department offers two areas of concentration:
- International Economic Law
- Regulation of International Business Transactions

Concentration in International Economic Law allows students to deeper study legal aspects of regulation of international economic relations.

Concentration in Regulation of International Business Transactions allows students to add to the knowledge and skills related to application of private law tools to legal support of entrepreneurial activity.

Master Degree Program provides for in-depth study of foreign languages and further development of all skills and knowledge, including reading professional literature in foreign language, ability to make presentations and talks on professional subjects, draw legal documents in foreign language.

Upon completion of the Program each student defends Master’s Thesis demonstrating graduate’s ability to perform an independent research and to apply theoretical knowledge to solution of practical problems. Research work of every participant of the Program is guided by academic advisors, who are recognized professionals in the area.

Completion of the Program offered by International Law Department and award of Master Degree in Law opens broad employment prospects before the graduates as they are in high demand with legal and consulting firms, federal authorities, companies, organizations and agencies involved in foreign trade.
