The 3rd International Olympiad "Professional skills of a lawyer" for students of law school clinics, organized by the Center for Legal Clinics Development was held from April 21 to April 23, 2017. 48 students of law school clinics from 28 universities of Russia and CIS took part in the competition. Diana Kapustina’s team (International Law Faculty -3) won the second place. Congratulations!

The 3rd International Olympiad "Professional skills of a lawyer" for students of law school clinics, organized by the Center for Legal Clinics Development was held from April 21 to April 23, 2017. 48 students of law school clinics from 28 universities of Russia and CIS took part in the competition. Students from Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and 16 Russian regions came to the Olympiad: they represented St. Petersburg and Makhachkala, Kaliningrad and Vladivostok and many other cities of Russia.
The RFTA was represented by Diana Kapustina, a third-year student of the International Law Faculty.
Participants were divided into 8 teams of 6 people. The competition lasted for three days. In the competitive environment the participants could not only exchange knowledge and experience, but also learn teamwork.
Each round of the competition was devoted to development of certain practical skills - interviewing, analyzing the case and developing a legal position, written and oral counseling, public speaking. The jury of the Olympics, consisting of 20 legal clinic experts, daily analyzed and evaluated the work of the teams in each practical skill. The competition was extremely tough, the teams were fighting for hundredths of a point, and the winner was determined only by the results of the final round. Diana Kapustina’s team won the second place. Congratulations!
