Student Essay Competition

in International Economic Law (IEL)

(May-June 2022)

The Department of International Law announces an online competition of essays on international economic law (IEL) for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of the RFTA and other universities.

The texts are accepted electronically from May 10 to May 25, 2022 inclusive at: EssayCompetition@vavt.ru

The works shall be checked from May 26 to June 5 by a committee formed of leading teachers of the Department, with the involvement of well-known international lawyers.

The results shall be announced on June 7-9, 2022. The authors of top-ranked works shall get the certificates; the winners (1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places) shall be awarded the diplomas.

We accept papers on international economic law topics, volume: 12-15 pages (type size - 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing), with a reference list drawn up according to the standards.

Essay topics are formulated independently. When formulating topics, it is recommended to refer to any aspect of the textbook used at the department: "International Economic Law" 7th edition; see a model list of the topic related areas below.

To participate in the contest, please e-mail us the information as follows:

1) the text of the essay, designed according to the higher education rules;
2) information about the author (participant of the Contest) in free form covering the following areas:
- essay title;
- author’s full name;
- contact details: phone # (availability of WhatsApp account to be mentioned), e-mail address;
- year of birth;
- city of permanent residence;
- place of study: name of the university, faculty;
- Name of the person who helped in writing the essay (supervisor, advisor, etc.).
