On April 18-19, 2017, the International Law Faculty of the RFTA in cooperation with the McGeorge School of Law (Sacramento, California) conducted a workshop "Training of Law Students for International moot-court (mock-trial) competitions". More than 20 coaches of the international commercial arbitration competition teams, teachers and professors from the RFTA and other universities took part in the workshop.

More than 20 coaches of the international commercial arbitration competition teams, teachers and professors from the RFTA and other universities took part in the workshop.

Teachers of the McGeorge School of Law Jay Leach, Leslie Jacobs, Adrien Brungess held a series of trainings on how to prepare students for the development of position on the case, of convincing speeches before the arbitrators, of drafting a memorandum.


Teachers of the department of the procedural law of the RFTA I. Lukyanova and I. Belozerova shared their ideas on interactive training in interrogation of witnesses and in development of the position on the case; E.Vasilyeva, the lecturer of the Civil Law Department told about application of interactive methods in teaching civil law to students. The secrets of selecting the team members taking into account psychological characteristics of the students were revealed by S. Balakireva; Z. Enikeeva, a team coach of Bashkir State University shared with colleagues the experience of creating student teams for participation in competitions. The participants expressed their gratitude to the administration of the RFTA and of the McGeorge School of Law for a unique seminar.
