On April 14, 2017, the RFTA hosted the Second Legal Conference in French on the topic "The Pressing problems of immigrants and difficulties in their solutions within the framework of the European Union". The 3rd and 4th year students of the RFTA International Law Department, as well as the students of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the students of the law faculty of the French University College took part in the conference.

On April 14, the RFTA hosted the Second Legal Conference in French on the topic "The Pressing problems of immigrants and difficulties in their solutions within the framework of the European Union". The 3rd and 4th year students of the RFTA International Law Department, as well as the students of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the students of the law faculty of the French University College took part in the conference.

An introductory speech was given by Ms. Tatyana Vatelot, the professor of law, assistant professor of the RFTA. The Conference was attended by special guests: Dr. Samuel Hutchinson, the professor of the HSE, Ms. Marina Velikanova and Ms. Lyudmila Obukhovskaya - associate professors of the RFTA. The conference was moderated by Daria Naumova, a 4th year student of the International Law Department.

All the presentations were delivered at a good professional level, demonstrating deep knowledge of the subject. Presenting the material, the speakers used video. After each presentation, the students asked speaker questions, which gave a start to a vivid discussion in French. All the topics of the presentations covered urgent problems. Dr. S.Hutchinson, Professor of the HSE emphasized the high level of training of our students, their reaction to the questions, their spontaneous behavior and fluency in French. He noted that of all the conferences that he had visited in recent years, our conference was the best. All the presentations attracted keen interest of both students and professors.

We would like to thank our speakers. Well done !!! Such conferences help to cooperate with the similar faculties of other universities, to exchange experience in conducting similar events, to develop in students a sense of confidence and responsibility, to expand their erudition in the field of law, and to train language skills. The conference is a brainchild of Lyudmila Obukhovskaya, the associate professor of the academic department of Romance Languages.
