The RFTA team has successfully passed national rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and entered the international stage of the competition, which will be held in Washington DC (USA). In April RFTA team will compete against more than 100 teams from 80 countries. Good luck!Second year in a row and only second time in its history RFTA team will take part in the international stage of the biggest and most prestigious international competition for international law, which will take place in Washington, DC, USA. The topics of the Jessup-2016 competition include the legality of mass surveillance programs, the international legal consequences of cyberattacks attributable to states and the detention processes for terrorism suspects. Our team includes Alisa Kadjoyan, Elina Arazakaeva, Viktoria Levchenko and Natalia Shavarina The team was coached by the RFTA alumnis, Anna Korshunova and Maria Petrenko who finished 2nd in the Russian stage and 28th in the international stage of the competition last year. «Once in Jessup, you will never want to go to rest», — said the team members. Alisa Kadjoyan took 7th place in the “Best Oralist” nomination and Elina Arazakaeva was awarded with a special prize from the sponsor of the tournament, Pericles American Law School.
