Department of International EconomistsHIGHER PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONDepartment of International Economists Degree – “World Economics”. Specialization – “Foreign economic activity”. Training of specialists majoring in this field is oriented at providing students with theoretical and practical knowledge of world economics, international trade, foreign trade of the RF, international accounts and credit operations, international economic operations techniques, customs and tariffs regulation of international economic activity, civil and trade law of foreign countries, legal regulation of foreign economic activity, and so on . In the process of studying, students acquire skills and habits in working out strategies in foreign economic activity, in the technology of foreign trade operations, etc. For graduates of this department there is a wealth of opportunities for employment at various organizations and companies involved in foreign economic activity starting with initial positions which ensure a successful career in business. In compliance with the educational program profound study of two foreign languages is compulsory. The students can choose English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic or Chinese as the main language. In their second year students are to study a second foreign language, including intensive format, enabling many of them to take a second state examination in foreign languages. Students majoring in “World economy” have an additional option of studying a third foreign language, with an opportunity of taking a state examination at the end of the course. HIGHER PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONDepartment of International Economists Degree – “Finance and credit” Students majoring in this field obtain knowledge in economic theory, organization of finances of export-import companies, management of the enterprises’ cash flows, investment activity, methods of entering domestic and international financial markets, etc. In the process of training students study the peculiarities of legal control of international economic operations, analysis of the financial environment of entrepreneurship and commercial risks, development of short-term and long-term policy of an organization, etc. The graduates of this department are trained for professional work in governmental bodies of all levels, finance departments of companies of different forms of business organization involved in foreign economic operations. Profound study of a foreign language is stipulated in the training program. English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic and Chinese languages are taught at five chairs of foreign languages at the Academy.  |
